The stoplight one I can see but on the highway at 65....Seriously. Did someone leave a ramp in the middle of the road that you didn't see?
I test ride many, many bikes and the EX250 just never screamed powerhouse to me. No disrespect, they are good bikes in their category.

Weeeeeeeeeeeell the CX's front wheel gets air time if you drop the clutch too rapidly with it running 5-6k revs at lights...

of course we feel better about them now. i can get it up at in second gear mid range, but i dont know how you managed to get it up at 65mph. i would like you to explain it though. as for picking up the 500, just give her a bit of a clutch slap. while cruising in first around 6,000 pull in the clutch, rev to 8,000 or so then drop the clutch should pick right up.

Same as anyone else. I just dumped the clutch. This was years ago, when I first started riding and had only a few months of experience.

The bike doesn't care what your road-speed is.

So, as a newbie-mistake, I was already going at highway speed. I wasn't thinking and I downshifted a few gears instead of upshifting. Then, while still revving too high, I let out the clutch way too fast. The front wheel only came up about 3 inches, but at 65MPH and not being ready for it, that really scared the bejeezus out of me.
