btw , i wonder if your nighthawk uses the same fork seals my '84 650 did? I ask because I have brand new set I never used, and you can have them if you want. Just a thought.

I'm not sure, but if I ever need them, I'll take you up on that. My forks are air filled by the way, I don't know if your bike's are or not.
