Ok I have to ask. How the crap do you lose one to a brake lever? In the midst of flying off the bike did it just dangle down in the gap between the lever and the bar and then...

The physics of that are astounding.

Wasn't there, but it happened in Florida, so I'm guessing 1) loose fitting shorts, 2) sliding, twisting, over the handlebars wreck, 3) buh bye! He had a good attitude about being "minus one", but I wouldn't want to experience that!
