Many guys waste their time and money by changing the oil in their bike too often, when its not needed then they complain how hard it is to do, or they never write it down or mark the date and the miles of their last oil change, if ur changing ur oil every 2000 miles ur wasting ur time, ur not doing anything to help ur bike, ur just making the guy that sells oil and filters rich, I would suggest to read the manual that was supplied with ur bike and most mfg's will recommend 5000 miles between oil changes. My bike has a spin on filter and I use a white paint marker and write on it the date and the miles when it was changed.

OK, now I'm confused. I obviously haven't kept up with Beemer terminology over the years. An air-head was an air-cooled (technically air/oil cooled) opposed twin. What's an oilhead? It sure looked like an air cooled twin when I got on it, but I must admit, I wasn't paying that much attention to the engine configuration.

BTW - Those linked front and back brakes felt bizarre. I didn't care for it at all. I guess I'm just an old school geezer that likes simple bikes without a lot of whizbang gadgets.
