Increasing Speed from a muffler?

The only way replacing your muffler will make your scooter go any faster is if you replace it with a rocket engine.

I'll agree with CNF2002. A rocket may be the way to go.
Actually replacing the muffler with something more "high-flow" MAY give it a speed boost but very marginal. I wouldn't say 15mph, but maybe a few. Unless the new muffler weighs alot more and there is a steeper hill. It might go faster that way. Gravity is awesome for that!

thats not what I am saying at all, I am saying a muffler might give you more speed, but more likely what will give you more speed is a different sized rear sproket
