I think you're worrying a little to much. They didn't have to tell you they dropped it, which indicates (to me at least) that they are an honest dealership.

if your that ana about it, tell them that and that you are wont accept the bike. they are giving you a repaired bike instead of a new one, tell them you want a new one.

however, if it were me and i paid for a brand new bike, i'd still accept it because of the fact that they told you they dropped it. I think most dealerships would tell you "the shipment is coming in 1 day late" or something of the sort, but your dealership is telling you they actually dropped it. so i'd probably trust them and know that they would repair the bike 110% before giving it back to you.

i'd take a 110% bike over a 100% bike

exactly what he said. your worrying to much. any dealer that admits to their mistakes is a good dealer imo because they are admitting that "Hey we aint perfect but we try".

Get them to help out on an extended warranty, juuuuust in case. ^^

i agree with the above. if they were honest about the drop they will definatly fix it. and drops are usually only cosmetic stuff that is EASILY fixed/replaced. turn signals, dented tanks, shift levers bent. and it is not unusual for them to ride the bike around the block once to make sure the bike was assembled propperly. (brakes bled, all gears shift smoothly, etc) so if the odo isnt on 0 i wouldnt worry about it.

before you take posetion of the bike they will require you to do a walk around inspection. look for scratches, dents, paint chips, broken fairings, etc. anything you find you can make them fix but my guess is it will be fine. most bikes are dropped within the first 8 months of ownership. they got your drop out of the way early

When you buy the extended warranty, it is essentially free money for the dealership. They take your money and give you essentially nothing material in return. They just "promise" to repair something that may break that is covered under the warranty terms. Since it is no cost to the dealership, see if you can get it thrown in "just in case"

Sheesh. Yeah, I think you're worrying too much.

They told you they dropped it, knowing that it would cause you to look much more closely for any problems with the bike. They SHOULD offer something $$ for your stress - a big discount on the jacket you're eyeing?

A new bike is likely to have 5 - 10 miles on it. The tech needs to take it for a spin to make sure it is running fine after they've connected everything out of the crate.
