Thanks all. Yeah, I just popped over to the bike shop and those gloves arent going to cut it. I'll have to make a trip out to the burbs to get proper ones before my training course.

Sevulturus, want to elaborate what a "Clymer or Haynes" is? I'll hit google but i've never heard the term.

MotoF150, thanks for that link. They have the the thing in a pdf but they have it locked so you cant print it. Its worth paying, but still its a tease :)

Clymer and Haynes are the brands of off the shelf motorcycle repair manuals. For you bike you can probably find them at the stealership. For my early '80's bike, I had to go to ebay for them.

Good to hear that. It would be rather pathetic to think you were cutting corners on your personal saftey just because it's "inconvenient" to travel to a proper motorcycle shop and buy real gear.

Yeah believe me safety is my primary concern. The learning curve on this little project of mine will be a mile long.

As for the manual, a little maneuvering allowed me to print the file. I hope to ingest as much of it as possible before the bike comes tomorrow.
