I got a light tint on mine, use it all the time, including beside cops at night. No issues yet, with about 14000 km between two bikes using it. It's dark enough I don't need sunglasses, and light enough I can still see in the dark. I'm happy with it, shrug.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
