thats not true. With AAA "Plus" membership they cover bikes. Its about $100 a year. I know this to be true because I called AAA about two weeks ago to make sure it covered bikes and they explicitlly told me it did. You might want to check with them again.
There is also another outfit that will do this sort of service for motorcycles, and its up to 300 miles. They even have cheaper plans for people in states where they dont ride year round. I just have to find where the heck I book marked it so I can post the link...

My card is AAA Plus/RVMotorcycle... expensive ($130/yr), but they'll tow just about anything up to 100 miles. Since my commute is 60 miles, the 100 mile range is very nice.

My mechanic checked it out and said that the tire should be fine with the plug. I'll take it easy for a while and see if it leaks air.

Plugs are Bad, m'kay...
An inside patch (where they take the tire off and fix it properly) is good though.

get in an area where there is nobody for up to 100 miles late some night and see just how much goodwill you care about.

I thought motorcycles have tubeless tires. Can they still put a patch inside?

They put patches on the inside of tubeless car tires.... unless you have plugged the hole in which case they tell you never to plug the hole and *then* put a patch on the inside with warnings that it probably won't hold up.

I get free breakdown cover with Carole Nash Ins - had to use them 3 times when I had the V-max. Not once did they take more than 45mins to get to me. Also, they only have Motorcycle mechs - so you know it's the right kind of van that's going to turn up.
Pity Carole Nash is only available in the uk...
