
You don't stay hunched over all the time, you can raise up a bit. With higher aftermarket bars I can see how that seat would be valuable. As sevulturs points out, the 'busa is a very good touring bike, that's what it is mostly classified as. Look closely at the shape of the seat itself. The part nearest the tank is raised and it curves back into a cup for your "O Ring" near the back. The seat itself causes you to slide back into the backrest, and the backrest was probably padded out to the correct amount to keep him right where he wants to be.
