You don't stay hunched over all the time, you can raise up a bit. With higher aftermarket bars I can see how that seat would be valuable. As sevulturs points out, the 'busa is a very good touring bike, that's what it is mostly classified as. It just happens to be capable of pushing your eyes into the back of your skull.

I, for one, like the looks of the Hayabusa.

Look closely at the shape of the seat itself. The part nearest the tank is raised and it curves back into a cup for your "O Ring" near the back. The seat itself causes you to slide back into the backrest, and the backrest was probably padded out to the correct amount to keep him right where he wants to be. I'd love to have a seat similar to that on my bike.

The cup shape increases the surface area on which you sit, improving comfort on long rides. While the back rest keeps him in position and offers some lower back support. I'm jealous.

He's also got raised bars, aftermarket pegs, and the hump on the back is hollowed out and removable to store stuff. As far as I'm concerned it's a pretty sweet bike. Though I don't think I'll ever have the scratch for one... let alone the desire to ride it.

Seat has that backrest on it to keep him from falling off when he nails the throttle. now instead of hanging on for dear life the seat lightens the load.
