Depends.
If you are (with the new laws going through) 24 you can take the Direct Access which means you can ride anything
If you are under 24 (with the new laws) then you can only get a restricted licence which will limit you to about 40 bhp under new rules for two years.
A CBT which is the one day course will qualify you for 125cc and under bikes as long as you are wearing L plates
