Stop relying on the engine's power as a crutch for poor riding skills.

You need to take more steps down and learn to ride before you get in another accident.

by the time i get money to be able to buy a full sys and a PCIII... i think i would have a lot more experience already.

also, i'd like to have trackday before this year ends. so that's a higher priority than getting other upgrade mods. having a trackday involves so much money. i need track payment, racing tires, transportation, bike prep. etc.

but for now... like i said... all i want as a performance mod is a TRE. now where is it!? its late! it's been a week now and i still don't have it.

I don't get it. Why the hell would you want to replace a perfectly good exhaust?

better performance.

the stock really looks the best to me but i want better performance.

besides, the R-55 still looks very damn impressive. :D

again like i said, it'll be a long time before i can upgrade my exhaust.

although, i will do a exhaust valve mod on my bike. it's not much, probably will add 3hp or something. i did it before on my 1000.

Haha, racing tyres!
Why spend money on another set of tyres when you are only using half of the ones you have now?

Full system replaces everything including the head pipes.

Doesn't C-F deteriorate over time due to heat and exposure to UV? Maybe the technology has improved since I heard this. I would probably go stainless or titanium for longevity. Plus, if you do fall off and scratch the can you can't buff out C-F.

Here's something to think about Vermi. Some systems require removal to change the oil and filter. They are designed for the racers who regularly remove everything between races anyway. For a street rider this can add significant time (read$$$) and hassle for maintenance. Especially if you don't do your own.

I'd keep it stock. You already weigh absolutely nothing, that should be the best performance gain you can have.

Also, a full system in many cases can reduce your effective torque, and shift your max power to higher rpm's. This really isn't ideal for cornering... you would see more gains in the quarter mile by doing this. On an actual track, you want as much grunt down low as you can get, to pull yourself out of corners. Especially as a beginner when you aren't used to maintaining that powerband (9,000+ rpms) for corners.

I would do exhaust as the very very last thing (if at all). You will see much more usable power from the TRE.

well, i heard many horror stories of people being cheap about tires and they paid for it big time at the tracks.

i don't wanna risk running an old tire. plus, it'll boost my confidence to have race tires.

yeah, it is the least of my upgrade priorities.

i'll probably won't be able to afford it until next year. attending track school is more important.

i'll ask my mechanic about that but really... like i said, this upgrade won't happen for a very long time.

I don't know what others think, but that exhaust looks absolutely horrible to me.
