Wow re the bike.
How's your jaw healing up?

An Indian dude in an old chevy van went careening through stop sign to make a left into traffic and side swipped me.
My jaw is healing nicely, still another 4 weeks to go...boo I'm gonna miss the 4th of July.
As for the arm, swelling has gone down significantly, although I'm a little worried about the seven screws and the plate.

Man I'm really sorry to hear about this. I ignored the bike broken in half thread, since I thought it was another video. Though I'm glad to hear you're alive and healing well. Best of luck.

No worries sir, just think of the fun you'll have at airports!
You still up for riding when you've healed?

That's horrible! I read your thread about the accident, but didn't think it was THAT bad. Hope you heal soon, and get a new bike.

If you were surprised, imagine
my reaction when I went to the impound.
And yes, I plan on riding again... when my mom isn't looking (she's sworn to move out if I ever ride again). My brother is planning on getting me a used GSXR600 so we can go riding together and so he can teach me how to ride on weekends while I'm not studying at UCLA.
I'm sure it'll feel a lot different from the 250, but more so I'm worried that I m ight become unconsciously afraid of bikes since my accident...

Maybe a healthy respect for the consequences of an accident will make a better rider out of you.
It may have been an idiot hitting you that caused your accident, but I always think that most of these could be prevented by looking and thinking ahead.
I don't know where it happened, or the visibility of the side road the other driver came off of. But if he was visible before you made it to the same intersection, his speed approaching the stop sign would have clued me in to avoid sharing the same road space with him...
The secret to survival on a bike or in a cage is to look ahead... way up ahead. In the city, I look 10 - 12 seconds up the road, on the highway, where possible, that jumps up to 15 seconds minimum. All the while scanning left right and to the rear in both mirrors... Now what I mean by seconds up the road is, that that's where you'll be in that time.
Damn, I'm starting to sound like a proffessional driver again....
Wait a sec, I am

Man oh man does that suck.
That is a hell of a splat dude... f(.)ck the jerkoff who hit you, what a loser.
Glad your injuries are non permanent though, you could be dead or in a wheelchair right now.
You'll be back riding soon enough though... next time don't ride a damn Nighthawk 250 though.
If you want to go that size, you have the EX250 which is just way better or the Kymco Venox 250 which is a more powerful cruiser.

bad luck, I was seconds away from getting hit because of somone who didnt even notice a stop sign...if i was a few seconds ahead of what I was i would have been in real big trouble... I hate intersections.
