What's a sprotbile? New word for squidbike?

He probably dried dragging his knee while avoiding a patch of diesel in between the lanes.

You can turn without doing that, you know.

Because it's a legal maneuver where he lives. If you could get away with lanesplitting legally wouldn't you do it during Rush Hour?

Not if I wasn't able to keep from hitting cars.

Ahh well, I'd probably be scared shitless if I attempted that right now (considering my riding experience). And yes, I agree, if you're close enough to tap the mirror then you shouldn't have been lanesplitting.

V, thats called a hit and run. Not a good idea to post about it on the same forum that you posted a pic of your car with your license plate number in plain view.

Even if it was legal in my state, I wouldn't do it. All it takes is a cager to get road rage due to jealousy swinging his door open right as you're about to drive by to f**k you up. You lose despite being in the right to lanesplit.

Ummm... you clearly aren't better than that... that's the problem. :(

As for the rest...lane sharing is legal here... and even reasonable at times. I did it on my way back from lunch today... came to a stop behind two large tractor trailer rigs and saw an SUV in my mirror doing the old "charge the red light and hope it changes and those trucks magically accelerate to 40MPH" trick... I didn't want to find out how good his brakes were so I rode up between trucks and waited at the light. Not only is it reasonable, it is safer (in cases like that) because it gives the vulnerable motorcyclist some shielding from inattentive drivers. An SUV will do a heck of a lot less damage to an 18 wheeler than to me.

Most of the time it is just silly though... you don't actually gain anything even after many lights.
