I ride a retro naked standard (Triumph Bonneville). I also tool around sometimes on a Suzuki Marauder 800 we're trying to sell, just to keep it running. The Marauder is a black and chrome cruiser, guess it looks kinda like a small Harley to non-riding folks. On the Marauder the neighborhood kids look, point, wave, make throttle motions with their hands, etc. On the Bonneville I get ignored.

The Bonneville smokes the Marauder in any performance category. But the Marauder looks like a "tough guy" bike.

You wanna see blank looks? Try explaining you ride a modern English re-creation of a classic English bike........

hey i just realized you're right over the bridge pretty much. I bought my fj in Princeton which seems to be fairly close to you. How is the riding over there? I was exploring south jersey along the bay the other night. It was nice, but i like the rollings hills a little better.

Something you posted made me think you're in the Manayunk area, right? If so, I'm probably closer to you than to Princeton. I'm 20 miles from the foot of the Ben Franklin. I work in the Princeton area, it's a 45 minute commute.

No hills in south Jersey. It's a hot, flat, sandy place. It's an acquired taste, I grew up there & didn't like it, but now I'm back. Mrs. Stark & I like riding back roads through the pine barrens. We'll ride down through Chatsworth to New Gretna or Tuckerton, or go through Batsto, etc. Most roads are sand, but there are enough paved to make it worthwhile.

yea, i live in wissihickon/manayunk area, work in center city. I'm originally from West Chester.

South jersey was fun to check out, but I prefer riding up near new hope. A few weeks ago i rode rt 32 up the delware river towards easton. nice riding up there.

Maybe we can go for a ride sometime if you want.

Works out for me since I really do ride a "ninja"...

Most common question from people who think they know motorcycles, "Is that a 600?" (It's a 250.)

Most common question from everyone else, "Are you nuts?" (Probably.)

its not worth wasting my time, and i dont care what the bums in the area think i ride, i knew this conversation would be followed by "im trying to get on the bus, do you have any change" so i made sure that my helmet was on and i was gone before the convo was over.

I was out on my streetfighter, and this young women come up to me and said, "ARE YOU OK," I said in a confused way as I was getting off my bike, "YES" "DID YOU CRASH YOUR BIKE" I said "NO, I made it look like this" "oh she said cause it looks like its Hurtin" I had to laugh.
