So I've gotten my learner's permit. I know I did not have to, but I figure it might be easier to deal with sales people going on sitting on the bikes to see what feels good for me.

I've been trying to enroll in the MSF course locally, and the classes are filling up quicker than a trailer relocation by a tornado. Any ideas how to get into the class. I'm checking to see if there are courses near some of my homes and stay there during that time.

It's kind of annoying to not get into a class when you already have to wait a month once you do get into one.

Also, any suggestions on anything I can do to help my learning curve till I do take the course. I'm reading the Proficient Motorcycling now.

well you can always ask if any of the courses have a standby list you can get on as well. people have lives and things come up so sometimes you can sneak in a few weeks ahead of time as long as your schedule is flexible

as for other things to do, you could put on a helmet and make vroom vroom noises

seriously though if you have some spare time you can always find out about local riders and go to one of their meet ups and chat with some of the folks there about bikes and such. Folks like me love talking to enthusiastic new riders (or soon to be riders), who knows you might be able to find a contact there that might know of someone trying to sell a good learner's bike too

one other thing you could do, if you ride a pedal bike a lot, is reverse the brake levers so that your right hand is your front brake...getting used to that being the front brake will help lots.
