She is a ragdoll kitten, you can see her brother in the background next to her in the last pic.
Guy across the street from me bought a ragdoll kitten this year, nice cat, but he paid an arm and a leg for it. I could get 25 cats from the SPCA shelter for what he paid (not that I'd want 25 cats, the two I got are too many some days.........)

Yeah they weren't cheap. But they weren't my first option, originally I intended to adopt two kittens from the SPCA but none of the cats they had were the type of cats I wanted; most of them were borderline feral and all of them were sick (they had some sort of respiratory infection which wasn't labeled on their tags). I mean really these cats were not adoptable unless they were going to an animal sanctuary.

I tried looking for one at an adoption agency but they wanted to dig into alot my personal information; ie. how much I earned a year, the company I worked for, social security, credit card information, etc. In my opinion way too much information for adopting a cat. Plus the people were very rude to me. I don't like providing that type of information unless it's absoultely neccessary, I've had identity theft occur to me in the past so I do what I can to protect myself.

I'm happy though, the cats are very smart, relaxed and look awesome. Everyone that visits my house compliments them on how beautiful they are. When I took them to the vet, everyone in the office stopped what they were doing to go look at them and playw ith them. The breeder had a family tree chart that showed where my kittens were in relation to the original ragdoll cats. It was pretty cool to see that. But I guess most purebreeds will have that too.

I was also looking into getting a Bengal F2-F3 but they were out of my range and my apartment isn't big enough for a cat like that. I know the Ragdoll is alot bigger than the Bengal, but it's no where near as active as they are.

they avg 30lbs and they're not overweight at that size.

a non-overweight 30lbs domestic cat is pretty cool! 8)

Doesn't detract from the fact that cats should not have leashes on them...

Of course, I saw a rabbit with a leash on it the other day. A bout all that's good for is making an easy way to drag the rabbit behind you, as it WILL try and run away from you.
