Maybe buying bike from another state on cycletrader, advice?

There's a place around here that sells bikes. The name is something like 'Northern Sales and Salvage'.
That should have been my first hint, really, but anyways....they had a SV650 listed on Cycletrader and I looked up where they were and it wasn't too far from here. The bike looked great on CT after all.
So I went to check it out and it was...a lot different.
The fairings were cracked on the side that the picture was taken on...with some clever angling so it didn't looked cracked in the picture. It also had a lot more 'cosmetic damage' than 'minor'. Also it had a large dent in the exhaust and the end of the clutch lever was broken off, though I'll give them that the clutch did still work...

Pictures are worth a thousand words, not all of them are pleasant ones, though.
