that crackling is normal. just the metal expanding/contracting after you shutdown the engine.

you could always do an oil analysis test to see what is in your oil.

I may look into doing that. For now though if the problem persists i'll be able to clearly see it. After a few oil changes if the problem does not self corrent I dont know what I'm going to do.
