Some guy and his chick came into work the otherday, and I noticed that the chick had on a helmet so I started talking to him about bikes. He claimed that he started riding on a Buell Lightning and that he just got his CBR600 three months ago and suggested that I get one as my starter bike. I then noticed that he had on sandals and shorts, and his helmet of choice: A backwards baseball cap. I saw him once more that day while I was on the way home, he was lanesplitting through an intersection then he jammed on the throttle and zoomed off into the sunset on a busy straightaway. :frusty: And all the while this chick was on the back in a skimpy little outfit looking mentally challenged wearing a helmet as the only bit of protection.

Yeah, but when his negligence can kill someone else, I DO care! This looks like the kind of guy who's accidentally gun it through an intersection at a red light and fly through another car or something...he really does seem that inept!

Level of Risk

He's just upping the statistics that he will be the one who meets his maker before someonelse on a bike does.

Kind of like you putting down a $1 on the Powerball Lottery and he's putting down $100,000. Either of you could potentially win but he's got a much better shot at it.

Nothing much anyone can do outside of the current laws to stop morons like that from killing themselves.

Darwinism in action!

What level of risk are you willing to take is a personal decision....

Hey, we all started as beginners(some of us still are). He should have known better than to be in traffic with that level of experience/expertise, but the guy was obviously just a noob trying to learn. Sounds like he needs some mentorship from some experienced riders.

Saw the stereotypical squid myself today, Wife beater, shorts, sandals. On a purple busa. A rashed up purple busa.

:(

And yes..you guessed it. Wheelie in the middle of traffic.....towards a red light.

The above post was NOT an exaggeration. Sadly to say.
