I guess I'm partial to the Warrior cause I have one but you might want to consider it from not only the standpoint of what it has on the stock bike but also the aftermarket parts available - but watch out, the mod bug is sure to bite. Every single time I take her for a spin and have someone next to me with their window rolled down, I get questions and compliments. Makes me feel good about my decision to buy it. Less than $100 will move the foot controls 2 inches forward. And it's a blast to ride! Good luck deciding!

as a "tallguy" (6'6", 34+ inseam) I ride a 1996 shadow 1100 ace, to accomodate my frame I loosened the bars and rolled them up to get the ends past my knees (the result, the grips are parallel to the ground, like and old classic indian or something...), then, I replaced the stock pegs with offset peg adapters ment for the tourer/gl1500 (they fit like a glove onto the braket...) added kuyakyn(sp?) ISO wings and tadah!! and extra 1 1/2-2" of leg room without needin to change the control other than a up/down adjustment...know i'm peeling back the stock seat cover and carving off some of the foam to give my rear some space....(I seen the prceedure listed at unitedbikers .com)

relatively cheap and easy mods (esp. if you catch the parts on sale...)

I sat on the Vulcan 900 recently and it felt much bigger than the 800 Classic it replaced in the line-up. Not a bad price either. Check it out.

I've got a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500.

I'm 6'1", 225 lbs and I have ALL KINDS OF ROOM.

I think you'd like the cycle - which I purchased brand new for under $9,000.00.

just as an add-on to this whole thread. if you can get a bike for MSRP or close to it, the 750 shadows are actually about 300* more than the sportster 883 so don't immediately discount HD either.

if you move up to larger CCs the prices are still comparable.

with just basic one colour paint, and no add ons:
the 1100 shadow MSRP is $11,599.00*
the 1300 shadow MSRP is $13,699.00*
the 1200 sportster MSRP is $12,359.00*

I'm 6'4" and am riding a new cruiser with one of the highest if
not the highest seats, a KAWASAKI VULCAN 750, 68 HP.

The ideal bike, Shaft drive, Hydraulic Lifters(no valve adjustments), and
Liquid cooled...and the bonus it has a Gas gage unlike the Honda
Shadow Spirit 1100cc which has all of the above features except a Gas Gage.

The Vulcan 750's seat height is 28.9", if you still need more leg
room highway bars can be installed.

I am 6"6" and abouts 250#
One of the reasons I like the Indian brand so much is how much room you get stock. Once you ride one you will not feel comfortable on anything else.
