I felt so good yesterday, I was all itchy from a few days of getting bitten by mosquitos at the camp, and then I took off my helmet and saw all the splatted skeeters..... heh heh heh

Well, it didn't take too long for me to find a reason to take it onto the road. I checked my inspection sticker and saw Mar 2006. So I took it down the road to the dealer, where I had to go at least 55 mph. Wasn't too scary, actually, I was more nervous about stalling at the lights (which I did, twice).

So I got to the dealer and the guy tells me my inspection is good for another year! I had read the 06, without realizing the 07 was punched out right next to it. He did find that my license plate light was out, so I got charged $13 ($3 for the part, $10 for the labor, what a ripoff) for that!

Made it back to my house with no problems and got my first biker wave to boot.

I think we can all relate to this thread. The first time out it's amazing how fast 30 mph felt. My first time on a REAL road I took a wrong turn and had to go 55 mph... scared the SHEET out of me!! Heck, now 60 mph feels slow.
