120? That's weak sauce, dude.

Question - I remember you posting some electronics that you were going to install on that bike. Have you done that? If so, did you get it properly tuned?

And yeah, they have to simulate the air intake if you're going to get a correct reading.

they ran it at 5th gear. the TRE does nothing on 5th gear.

the TRE is not a very complicated electronic mod, it's not like a power commander. the TRE just fools the ECU into thinking the bike is always in 5th gear since in 5th gear... my bike has no limiters whatsoever.

there's no tuning involved w/ the TRE.

anyway, like i said... it's still cool. my bike can still go from 0-60 in 3 secs. it could do it less than 3 but im not good enough to do it it yet.

that's still pretty powerful to me. :D

I was thinking you got a Power Commander. Regardless, your results seem low. It should read at least 130 at the wheel.

here's quote from a gixxer forum member...

Could be the case...I wouldn't sweat it...

Also, they can / do run air into the inlets / radiator (more for cooling), but cannot duplicate (yet) the ram air effect. They do not have the fans (at least on dynos) that can force air hard enough to match the high speeds our bikes can run.

Verm... don't worry about numbers so much dude. I honestly doubt you will ever even come close to using all that power, especially on the streets where you do over 90% of your riding. Unless you are doing power wheelings through your gears and using all of that throttle and hitting the redline why even worry so much? People are obsessed with spec sheets and I just don't get it.

im not really upset.

i was just surprised. i know im not gona get a high number.

plus like that guy said... results vary from dyno to dyno and they can't replicate the ram air effect of the bike.

Well your results arn't to off considering you should take about 18% off hp from the crank to the wheel, then after that maby 10-20% considering other factors like break-in, elevation, heat, mods ect.

thanks. :D

im cool. im not gonna let this bother me.

and yeah... it was freaking hot! i was walking in my jacket since i didn't wanna leave it on the bike and it made it even worse than it already is.

i didn't stay there for long since i got bored, too hot and i went alone.

that is not a full dyno, its one stat from many required to paint an overall picture of your bikes capabilities and potential issues, also, dynos are some what dependent upon the environment as well, expeiance of the peeps doing them, their equipment, climatic conditions, machine calibrations, fuel used, etc etc etc will factor in.

but

I am shocked, would have thought a new gsx750r would have rang out a bit more.

imagine what your gixxer would have done ;)
