You just told a woman to gain weight. In real life you'd have a hand print across the face, but luckily we're on the Internet

you can adjust your suspension easily with that funky looking wrench in your tool kit, check your manual for the proper setting for your weight (it's pretty simple even i can do it). after a few months, you can get it all fine tuned at a suspension shop for pretty cheap.

not sure of your riding style, but make sure your knees are hugging the tank as that will increase your stability and control. also you can try standing up a little on the pegs, so your butt is a bit off the seat when you hit some bigger potholes and such, to help absorb some extra shock..sort of like horseback riding.

Wind

#14 Unread post by M109R »

If that bothers you wait until you are out riding and the wind picks up. Then you are really screwed.

I remember in the old days on my Honda 450 Nighthawk being literally blown over into the oncoming traffic once as a thunderstorm rolled in. Had to put a lot of pressure on the steering and drive slow in that wind to keep moving. It sucked!!! Plus I hated having to crank out the rpms in 5th gear just to go 65 mph.

Get a heavier bike with a good suspension, it will be easier and more fun to ride.

Where's the slap-across-the-face smilie??
Could have been worse...he could have told me to LOSE weight!
And bok & everyone else, thanks for the riding tips. I have been riding like I do the horses, and trying to stay loose and relaxed. It just caught me off guard! I'm going back up there and doing it again (after I check the suspension settings!)
