Not yet, couldn't afford to get them before the course. Though I think I'm just going to get some plain old textile riding pants then wear shorts beneath them (so I can wear shorts when I ride to work).
So here's a possibly stupid question...I was considering overpants as well so that I can wear shorts underneath, but I'm assuming you'll still be wearing whatever riding boots you have... so what are you going to do about the boots when you take the overpants off? Bring a pair of sneakers and change? Or pull a Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) and look like a goober with shorts and ankle-high black boots?

Anyone have a solution to this fashion faux-pas?

yes, leave a pair of sneakers at work. that's what i do.

in school back when i used to bring my 1K... i just walk around w/ my racing boots since im still wearing my riding gear minus the helmet and gloves.

I don't think my workplace would appreciate it if I walked around in my steel heel capped riding boots, might mark up the floor (as well as destroy the "civil servant" image we have). "No, he's not in a street gang, he just rides!"

I'd go with Verm's suggestion and keep an extra pair of shoes/boots/whatever at work and put 'em on when you arrive, take 'em off when you leave.

if you want to wear shorts underneth I would get a pair of textile overpants.

as for boots. maybe just wear your regular shoes for commuting, or keep a pair where you work.

my normal gear is jacket, helmet, gloves, gloves, MC boots, and JR steel jeans. When im just commuting to work (its only a 5 mile commute) I wear regular jeans and my work boots (plus jacket, helmet, and gloves of course).

I did that yesterday... shorts under my JR Alter Ego (Textile) pants. When I got to the office I dumped the boots and put on some sandals I keep around. Worked out pretty well except when lunchtime rolled around I didn't feel like putting boots back on so I ate at the office.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

+1 to the extra shoes at work.

the jeans should be decent enough for taking the course in, but of course the textile pants would be better

+1 also to the Napolean stance...although i was thinking Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum....damn will the end of the day not come any sooner hahah

I was planning on taking my shoes with me in a backpack or get another pair of shoes and just leave them at work. We'll see to it when we cross that bridge (which may be closer than you think).
