I must be pretty good at the body positioning thing then. I hit the canyons last saturday, I was taking the turns at a pretty good clip and I didn't make a dent in my chicken strips which are still 1/2" left and 3/4" right. I do shift my butt off the seat through most of the tighter turns.

the bandit seems to have abundant cornering clearance. I have never touched a peg down with it even the few times I have had to lean it WAY over during a suprise decreasing radius turn. Of course my idea of way over is probably still only about 30 degrees or so. the manual claims a max lean angle of 35 degrees for the bandit.

yeah apparantly the bandit will scrape pegs at 35 degrees.

I would guess you are between 35-40 degrees in that pic.

a pair of rearsets and an aftermarket exhaust would probably net me more cornering clearance, not that I need it LOL.

yeah but adjustable rear sets are expensive for my bike... around $400-500.

i don't need it yet though since i haven't even scraped my stock pegs yet... i wonder how many degrees of lean it will take to scrape it. hmmmm....

on the gix 750 you will likely be testing your gear out before you drag a peg. any supersport can get to at least 45 degrees which is the limit of most sportbike tires. IIRC the trimph daytona 675 has the most cornering clearance of any streetbike at 57 degrees (theres a reason it wears pirelli diablo corsas)

time to get some pilot powers. 51º max dry lean rating.

that 57º lean angle rating for the 675 is pretty impressive. but it would suck if you got spoiled by the corsa... it's doesn't sound very practical to keep running DOT race tires outside the tracks after the tsock corsa wears out.

Mine is 42 degrees soft contact, 50 degrees hard contact. I have dragged the pegs on the street without takin my butt off the seat or dragging a knee.

I doubt you could ever scrape a peg on a Bandit. I have run my tyres right out to the sidewalls where things start to slide and I had miles before I touched down.
