Were they just going that fast that they couldn't make the turn and panicked, is that what happened? It kind of looks like the guy got around the van and kind of freaked for no apparent reason..but its hard to tell how fast he was going.

It's pretty obvious that they tried to pass. The van was in plain sight if you consider the road layout before the turn, and you can actually hear the bikers gun it right before coming around.

The vid doesnt work at all for me. I pasted the link in my address bar and my browser locked up and I had to log off. Normally I have no problem with link to vids loading.

Right - but what I'm saying is after they pass, it just looks like the guy needs to turn a bit more, then execute the next turn. And instead mid turn he uprights, breaks and goes straight ahead..no further turning. Was he just going so fast that he panicked when he saw the next turn..or was he dumb enough to think he could straight shot that turn he fell into the trees on?

It just seemed extremely avoidable, so I wanted to make sure I understood what happened there and wasn't missing something. I'm still pretty new at this whole thing.

Right click the link and save it to yoru desktop or something.. same thing happened to me in Firefox.

As for the video.. umm yea most of us have it right, they tried to pass (quite stupidly) and just screwed it up. I think the fears of getting their bottoms beat is a justified one, but I would have stopped and helped out.

Best I can make of it is that he braked hard while trying to bank right. That'll upright the bike quicker than shizznit. At that point all he could do is run damage control.

These guys are going crazy on the Deals Gap and one of them goes into the ditch wearing a helmet cam. There's a funny part near the end of them buying pocket-bikes and riding them down the Gap.
