I rode for years on a 125cc dual-purpose bike, and I never got bored with it. I wish I still had it, actually.

Haven't gotten bored on my old 650cc UJM, either.

Can't imagine actually being bored while on a motorcycle, really...

If you think that's true, you need to research the fine art of the shift point.
The "perfect" shift point is always going to be at the same engine speed, every time. There is never a single "perfect" line for any two corners.

I also have more than a few trips down the quarter mile at Pacific Raceways.

The problem with monkeys is that they get poo on everything.

Praise the lord and pass the ammunition!

I had a 125 roadbike for nearly two years, I ran it flat out at 65-70mph and rode it hard. If I rode a sportsbike that hard I'd lose my licence.

I miss my CeeGee and have been seriously considering getting a small sportsbike to hammer once I've sold off the machines in the yard.

The problem with these threads is that nobody ever asks whether the poster is MAOA-L or MAOA-H...

Comparing an MAOA-H rider's level of boredom (or lack of boredom if you prefer) to an MAOA-L rider's is futile. The MAOA-L is guaranteed to be bored quicker no matter how stimulating the experience.

So, to the OP... if you are MAOA-L you'll be bored no matter what so start with a 125 and upgrade every 3-6 weeks.
