i live in a city for college, and cops wont even deal with 90% of small issues because theyre too busy with real crime.

when it comes to the suburbs, where im form originally, the small things are just so small its rediculous. i love reading the police log because people have called the police because (and these are real and recent):
their neighbor was trimming their bushes accidently
kids were riding bikes outside their house
the son of the people next door was home to move his things out
a briefcase was in a dumpster

and obviously nothing ever happens from these, cause the cops arent bitter from high crime and are friendly. i cant imagine how a cop could be so by the book that they wont drop stupid situations like kids in trees

That is the stupidest thing I have read. Since when cant kids play in trees? Didnt you ever play in a tree or have a tree fort?

It is a typical garbage media story.
Did you notice the police stated that they had reports of the kids stripping all the branches off the tree? That is hardly playing.
The writer chose to gloss over that and make it all about how "badly" the kids were treated.
Also notice they took a lovely picture of the kiddies but didn't bother to get a photo of the tree?
