wow i thought our 5% tax sucked. and i just go to NH anyway, sales tax free all the time

if you guys know what Killington is (monster ski resort) they seriously wanted to become part of NH (even though they are located in the middle of Vermont) because Vermont rapes them of millions in taxes

I guess I need to stop making fun of MA's backwards laws - we actually get a good deal here. Tax free weekend here is any single item up to $2500.

Clothes and food (from the grocery store - not pre-made) are always tax free in MA.

The PST used to be 8% but was changed a few weeks ago to 7% unfortunatly when the law was passed companys don't have to charge you 7% they can still charge 8% and keep the extra 1%

GST is 6% now as of July 1st

Her is Sask,

GST 6%
PST(provincial sales tax) 7%

Here is Alberta:

GST 6%
PST 0% <--- WOOHOO!!

I guess it makes up for the -40°C winter days.

Italy is much cooler than Germany about that. You have to pay into their taxes before you get the ER free or the Kinderguild. Otherwise they charge you full price...

Thank goodness I am a US citizen who can use the military facilities...

wyoming sales tax is 6%. We dont get tax free weekend. Until this july wyoming would charge sales tax on EVERYTHING, in july they were nice enough to eliminate the sales tax on groceries, but only for 3 years.

guess thats the price we pay for not having a state income tax

We have no state income tax and our sales tax is 8.25.
