Thanks guys, action shots soon to come
Front brake works well. I haven't gone all that fast (in 1st! lol), but DH has ridden it to and from our practice lot and he has no trouble (I follow in the truck). The line was upgraded to stainless steel as well, so that helps take out some weakness lost in the rubber line. I'm hoping the shorty lever will make it easier to get 2 fingers up on there and keep 2 on the clutch. The clutch is light enough, but I think DH also uses 1 and 3 as well. Some of that has to do with the clutch lever being just far enough from the bar it takes that middle finger to grab. I will be looking for an adjustable clutch lever. If I can't find it, I'll can bend it.
A friend of ours wants to adjust/bend the lever on his wife's Sportster so, I may ask him if he wants to get together and we'll have a whole lever bending party lol
I think these small little adjustments will help my riding progress.
sharpmagna, I wish the US had some of these smaller bikes too. There is so much flexibility. I'm more than likely going to try to bring this one home. Its my prototype keeper. Plus it'll make transitioning back to the States easier as I will have a bike to ride and I can take my time finding a new one if I want. By then this bike should fit me like an old pair of shoes, easy and comfy.
Buzz, this poor bike has hit the pavement a few times lol It has held up well. I definitely like there are no pretty parts that hit the ground. On this one, its the muffler, bar ends, gear shift lever, foot pegs, nut/bolt on the front wheel. Of course those drops were at stops, I imagfine at speed it'd be a different story, but for casual oopses....
Thanks for all the links. I do have the Moose EZ pull clutch system, but I didn't install it this last round of putting things together. THe clutch was working well at it was, so I decided to leave it off and come back and install it if need be. Moose has been excellent to work with. DH wants to put it on his bike.
I have seen that GP clutch lever often and it really is nice. So, I've tried to stay away from it ($$)
Verm, there's not much I won't try. My stubborn mind writes checks my body works to cash lol "nuh uh, I could do it too"
I need to get the velcro done on the left bar to keep my gloved hand up there. It keeps falling off. I'm only using a wrist brace now, but I might go to an elbrow brace as well. It'll give me some stabilization to lean on.
