On the TV they referred to him as Holy Father.............To me there is only 1 holy father and that is God. And I've never really understood why catholics confess to a priest, when you can confess to God, yourself, through Jesus. Please dont get me wrong, I'm not having a go at catholics, I am just curious. The other thing that bothers me, is the wealth that is accumilated by relgious groups, it used to be distributed to the poor and needy, but this doesnt seem the case these days.

well aaahhhh...you see the people that control all the money raised by contributions may see themselves as the poor and needy.i know i would.

Agreed. That's why I hold such a grudge against religion. I have no problem with God at all. He has a few issues with me, but we won't get into that.........

Hi there. I see that this thread is not closed. My computer was not letting me on through AOL, so I decided to try through Internet Explorer.

Anyways, I had started a new thread titled "Why is the New Pope thread closed" because I couldn't post on this one. I tried to answer a couple of questions on here by a couple of curious minds. Yeah Buzz, Totally agree, I truly believe in God, but I dont go to any church or meeting, I read the bible, and let God interpret for me. I dont want mans interpretation as there are so many different religions in this world. Like you said they seem to accumulate vast amounts of money and property. There are a lot of wars over Relgion. "World Peace" is that a dream?
