My first Shoei fit fine -- 5 years ago (been off the road for a while).
When I bought my new bike earlier this year, I tried on my the old RF-700 and found my head no longer fit in a medium full face. Guess I put on weight in my late 20s - some apparantly in the cheeks.
I also remembered always wanting more ventilation, and was never happy with the shape of it. So I went out earlier this year and bought a XL Shoei RF-1000. A nice helmet.
Then the first really hot weekend hit, and I was boiling. I went out and bought a skid lid, and it's so comfortable, I tend to use that one more than the other 2.

Okay, seriously! I have never been a Verm basher, usually don't waste my time responding to his posts, but this time I just have too.
If you need to look to all of us here at TMW for a reason to justify buying a new helmet, then you don't need a new helmet. If you simply want a new helmet, go buy one, your a big boy, you dont need our permission. But if you do go spend a few hundred dollars on a helmet while you have a perfectly good one that does the job and is probably less than a year old......if you do that, then I don't want to see another post about how you can't afford a track day, and how your never going to improve without a track day. If you need a track day that bad....make some sacrifices, save your money, and quite spending every extra dime you make on stuff you don't need...I'm not even going to touch the whole tire thing...
Back on topic....I have 2 helmets. One for my motorcyle, one for my snowmobile.

chillax!
i made it clear, im just looking for some justification other than i just want a better one.
and actually... im just complaining about getting a new job. already did some steps.
once i get new job... i'll get a trackday, upgrade my suspension, get a new helmet, get a slip on. in that order if all goes well.
if somebody is wondering why i need a better suspension, the stock ones are too stiff even on the softest adjustment since im so lightweight. i don't even compress the springs when i sit on the bike.

I've got three
1) the red one I had when I crashed
2) the one I bought for the ex-GF and kept when she dumped me
3) the replacement I got for the red one (in yellow)
I keep thinking I should make the red one into a candy dish or something cool like that.

Make it into a beverage holder...like when you ice a bottle of wine. Er, if no wine drinkage, beer. Fill it with ice and put your beer in it.

I've got 2 full face helmets:
An HJC CL-SP I bought a while back...and my new Arai RX-7 Corsair I picked up a few weeks ago at 60% off

So now the GF gets to wear the HJC.
Now if you want to know the total helmet count...let's see:
4 Lacrosse helmets
2 Ski helmets
2 MTB helmets
I think that covers all of them.
