Well, I don't do any knee scraping with my V-Star, but it does corner well and now that I have more skill I could say that the bike even feels nimble.
Mr. MotoF150 said it very well....he loves his friend's V-Star better.

Yes, ur right I love my friends V Star better than my M50, and I kick myself in the butt for not buying a V Star.

I have one. Its great and everything, but at your size, and i know all the old timers here will disagree, but I'd consider getting the bigger one. I'm 6'1" and 170 and while bike is a comfortable size, i definitely think i could handle something bigger now (after only a few months). Especially when on the highway or in quicker moving traffic, you feel like you're on a small bike. My bike is fun to ride, but on the highway it feels like it seriously lacks something. You could always buy the 650 and then trade up if you get tired of it I guess.
