So, what I find in the parts manual is called a Roller Chain. I assume that's the same as a drive chain because this manual is VERY detailed and it's the only thing that looks like a drive chain.

Photo No. 625 code: WUFDU part no: K-8100 Name: Roller Chain, 92 links, 3/8" X 5/8" Pitch $6.00

6 bucks sounds pretty pricey for the 1920's. I could probably snag one of these in a million places. Google is giving a ton of choices.

The vincent black shadow is a beautiful looking bike, but my untrained eye doesn't see it as vintage. I'm hoping to get a good balance between what would be acceptable on the screen for you and the rest of the audience who would be more like me. Of course, that's all assuming that the screenplay gets sold. :laughing:

What's a 'busa? Does it scream sexy? I'm finding a few things I like for her bike. What I have in mind is like one of those racing bikes where you are almost laying completely flat on it when you ride. Something that looks fast even when stopped. I'm thinking she would look like a part of the bike kinda.

Its a suzuki hayabusa.

Suziki says its the fastset production bike out there. Some people may find it sexy.

'busa = Hayabusa - sorry.
yeah it looks fast sitting still.

Good luck getting use of a black shadow though - not many of them around and they go for major $$

If you want a vintage looking bike that will run reliably and is easy to find look at the new triumphs - the one I have is hard to tell from the old ones.

Okay, change of tactic. I can't come up with anything that can break on an old henderson that'll be so terribly hard to fix....I'll get my main character out of the house another way. It's just feeling too forced. So, what would be a tough looking american bike to match against the sexy japanese bike?
