Filling tank in California

I live in Southern California and I actually have no problem controlling the amount of fuel that comes out. I know the rubber sleeve is a pain in the butt, but try finding the shut off point when the sleeve de-activates the gas, or whatever it does....I find that, then I barely apply pressure to the handle when I'm approaching a full tank...work likes a beauty. I only fill up at Chevron's, Mobil's or Shell's...I dont know if it's any different for other gas stations. Good Luck!
