The cost of the MSF courses vary a lot from state to state. Here in Michigan they are only $25.

WOW!!! 25$$ I think i might move all though its $180 down here in Tx. The two most important things I would say to look at are the MSF and then TAKE YOUR TIME. Its very easy to get the itch and let it control you but don't let it. Also if you are looking at at dealer ship watch the salesmen. When i went up there they all but said I couldn't get a 250 to try to get me a differant bike. Know what you want before you go there and you will be set and make sure you take our advise. MSF!!!!!!!!

and :welcome:

I'll move this to the "New Bikers" forum. Lots of the information is already available there. In Ohio the MSF is also just $25. I felt very fortunate to not have had to spend a lot of money on the course. We had several students in our class who came from places like Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Of course, they knew people in the area and had a place to stay and all. But one of them mentioned that in his state, the course was $250 and there was a one-year waiting list - yikes!

Good luck in your venture!

Cheers,
Loonette
