I always take mine with me. I do have a cable lock though if I'm going somewhere and don't want to carry it with me. I'm not comfortable leaving it on the bike, though.

I almost always take mine with me... I think it helps explain why I look like a power ranger.

If i'm just going in somewhere for just a few minutes, I take it with me. It just seems like less of a hassle than to lock it on the bike. But, if I expect to be gone for a while, then I always lock it on the helmet lock in the bike. In places where there are a tons of bikes around, I just stap it to the sissy bar, no one will mess with it. I was at Daytona 2005 and never locked them, I just strapped them to the sissy bar. At home they sit on hooks in the laundry room right where I enter the house from the garage.

I leave it on the bike either in helmet lock or on sissy bar if I only part for a short trip with still the bike in-sight or where I park the bike on the time. Other than that the helmet come with me.

Why not carry it around? It looks cool and tells everybody something about who you are. Sure most of them assume that means you're a serial rapist or murder, but you're still a biker.
I take mine almost everywhere. Only if it'd be a big burden will I leave it behind, and always locked up. It's a lot of money to lose, and that'd suck real bad to have to ride without one.

I usually take my helmet with me or lock it on the bike's stock helmet lock. The seat comes off and the helmet hooks underneath. Then I jam the seat back on- it's a tight fit. If a person could actually get to the strap to cut it and steal my helmet,

them! They get a useless helmet and I hope they crash!

Too funny! The whole getup can be pretty out of place at the local Walgreen's!

step 1. lift visor
step 2. apply stanley knife to strap
step 3. crash wearing a second hand helmet

Well, it depends on the place, if you think it safe then you can just leave your helmet with your bike But if it's not, better carry it. Just be sure you won't lose it anywhere...
