i know this other guy in the ex forums....

he was cleaning his chain...he puts the bike on center stand so the rear comes off the ground...decides to put it in gear so the tire starts spinning....the chain takes his finger and the sprocket cuts it......sucks really bad....other than that, he's okay...he lost maybe 1/3 of his index finger..ouch

I am currently titanium free!

Although a previous stocktake indicated a Tibial rod, 3 plates and 17 screws.

In my early days of riding, I went flying off street bikes on several occasions ( 5 or 6) and was fortunate enough not to break a bone. Bruises, sprained ankles and torn cartilage a plenty, but no breaks.

Ruptured my achilles playing semi-pro football four years ago and the doc tied it back together with rope - standard procedure. I know it doesn't pertain to the question but I felt left out. Anyway, I always wondered if titanium set off the metal detectors at airports...

Not motorcycle related but I had 2 plates and 36 screws in my left wrist. They all came out in the second surgery though. I have the hardware in a jar it's a nice momento

Nope it does not. Kinda takes the fun out of going through the detectors. Maybe next time slide through the Xray machine that does the carry-on bags :D
