I'm glad to hear you're doing okay. Have fun jumping out of stuff! Be careful, haha. Enjoy your freefall, and we'll fix your bike up when you get back :D!

I only thought of jumping out of planes when I was a kid. Now, I really have no desire. I think it would be a total lack of control they aren't going to let me drive the plane, some else packs the chute... I'm not good in a lack of control situation.

As for militery service, I guess joining up is for THAT is the only thing I will admit to being too old for!!!

yes the uped the age to 42 just as stated above and they way I inform people the reason (not the official) but you were close in saying that it is for the seasoned people that haven't had the chance to join yet they have had a job and life and now have a desire to serve there country. I currently have a 43 year old male that is trying to come BACK in he served 3 years active back some 15 years ago. Sorry to hear that your unable to enjoy your ride due to the sand box but at least you should have some money saved up for when you get back to do some upgrades to it LOL. And what ever you do just make sure you DON'T reach for the ground. ;)

I jumped out of a plane once; free fall from 10500 ft, with an instructor on either side of me (not tandem). I found it to be far more exhilerating than riding. Incredible rush of speed and sensation of flying and an incredible amount of wind noise. ONce the chute is pulled, an instant calm and quiet.

My first jump was with the 509th. Didn't like it then probably wouldn't like it now. The only thing i stilll do that I use to do in the military is shoot every once in awhile. After living on the ground for so long I don't even like to camp any more.
