I don't know anyone who wouldn't gawk at a turboed cruiser. I think that having this kind of setup is a unique rarity and that is what makes it so special. It has the ultimate straight-line power with the mods and can still take the corners just as the stock units can. The best of both worlds is hard to beat. How could you not admire the ingenuity? Wish I had an extra $6K. I'd have some interesting colored flames coming out of my Tailgunner!

I understand the difference, what I don't understand is why someone would put all that time and effort in to a bike to make it fast, when they could just buy a bike that's fast to begin, and make that faster. It's like taking an SUV, and trying to make it as fast as it's potential will let it, when you could just get a sports car, which has a much greater potential than the SUV.

If you understand the difference like you say you do, than how do you not understand why this guy doesn't just buy a busa? I thought I kind of explained it in my previous post and drevil even added alittle to it.

yeah, it will not give the same effect.

i admire it bec it's not often you see a turbo charged cruiser.

I guess you've never hotrodded a civic or low end car to beat a muscle car then? People have been taking beater cars, hooking them up and whooping on more high end cars for decades. There is a satisfaction of taking a slow vehicle, putting some time, money and effort and blowing away something that costs well more than what you put into your project. Any rich shmuck can buy a fast car...

Maybe because he likes the warrior? and doesn't want a busa?

also, the warrior is a 'drag' style bike... why not give it more 'drag' style power?

No I haven't, lol. But that's different. People do that because civics are cheap, and ferraris are expensive. If ferraris cost relatively the same amount (as in, the 'busa costs relatively the same as that modded warrior) then nobody would buy a civic and supe it up, they'd just buy a ferrari, get the point?

What this compares to is one guy buying a $35,000 GTO, and another guy buying a $25,000 lincoln towncar. Mr. Towncar then decides he wants to spend $10,000 to make his car about as fast as Mr. GTO's. So Mr. Towncar as now spent $35,000 to make a towncar go as fast as the GTO, when, if what he was interested in was speed, he could have just got a GTO to begin with. The only merit (and this is the same for the bike) is that no one expects the towncar to go as fast as a GTO, so it's different.

Of course, after spending that 10 grand his car's not going to go much faster, where as the guy who the GTO can still add hp to his rig. A civic isn't going to beat a muscle car. It might be modded to be fast, but a turbo, new fuel system, nos, better pistons cams etc isn't going to make a small displacement four banger beat a suped up large displacement v8 engine. Sorry to break some dreams.
