if you are recovering from a lower back injury, I wouldn't recommend the KLR. I have an '05, and the vibration can be very hard on the lower back. The V-Strom, being a twin, will be smoother.

Not sure I'd recommend a Bonneville for a bum back. I sure feel a lot of the road riding mine.

I think you'd want something with a longer-travel, softer suspension, like the V-Stroms we've been discussing, or maybe an older (not 2007) Triumph Tiger?

I almost purchaced a V Strom, all the dealers told me that bike matched my riding wants and style, but 2 things I didn't like about the 650 V Strom, the engine sound! To me the engine sounds like something is falling apart inside, and the Bridgestone Trailwing tires, those are death tires, I know cause I had the exact same tires on my DRZ400S.

Maybe it was the rider, not the tires.

I don't think so, Im a professional rider, I can ride the bike you own better than you, when I ride I speed up on tight hairpin curves and I need tires that I can trust, Bridgestone Trailwing Tires are Death tires!

I can't speak for the tires, but I have done some pretty amazing stuff on chen shings and those are pretty crappy. I wonder how good you really are, especially if your bike is in such sorry shape after so little a time.

Trailwings are also dualsport tires - they aren't designed to give you racebike handling, so if you try to ride your bike like a sport bike with these kind of tires, you are just begging for trouble

Really? I thought you had to pay people to go riding with you (lunch? gas?). Wouldn't that make "them" the professional riders?

If Suzuki would have a V Strom with radial tires it would be a great bike, ever notice all new Suzuki bikes come with the junkiest, cheapest tires they can get. Any bike can handle and ride like a racer bike if it had the right tires.
