Hey, I'd definitely recommend a two piece for the winter coming up! Although just a jacket and jeans is usually fine for summer. Whenever you get your gear and your bike in running order, PM me, I'm just down in the Springs, and I've been looking for an excuse to go to Boulder (besides to mess with the hippies on Pearl St. ) Anywho, have a great day!

My best friend is from The Springs and he just bought a Honda CM400, which pushed me towards purchasing a bike myself. He's much more experienced with bikes and has ridden up Flagstaff Mt. in Boulder a couple times. I might have to purchase the other half more later than sooner.

i'd like to suggest a 2 piece suit if you plan on doing canyon rides and trackdays. that way... you can just wear the jacket part for normal rides.

Stop giving shitty advice. All the gear, all the time. You're more likely to crash on the two mile trip to the store than the 200 mile twisties run.

Visit your nearby army surplus. See if you can find a leather flight jacket. Lots of pockets, very warm, freedom of movement, and good crash protection. Maybe they'll have some of the classic style full lace combat boots, which make excellent street boots whith good traction, support, and protection. You'll take a shin whacking wearing them offroad, though. For gloves, look for the wool-lined gauntlet style aviators. They are pre-curved for comfort and overlap the jacket sleeves to keep wind out. They also have a strap across the top of the wrist to tighten them up so they don't come off in a spill. Patagonia makes some dandy underwear that keeps you warm and dry, but does not overheat quickly indoors. Patagonia also makes under-gloves that work well with the surplus wool and leather gloves.
