I just got my copy from Amazon and it started falling apart immediately. I am planning to get them to replace it but not until after I finish reading it.

HA!

as if the book has anything to do w/ it.

anyway... i read "Sport Riding Techniques" a couple of times already.

hough's book... only once and i don't even know where it is in the house right now.

"Sport Riding Techniques" is way better to me. better than hough's, better than the MSF.

The major thing I got from Hough's book was the concept of delayed apex cornering really got planted in my brain. For that alone, it was worth the price of the book.

Does old Nick ever say that you should hardly ever sit on your seat?

I had heard about the problem with the binding before I bought the book and i still bought it. My copy fell apart the first day I got it from Barnes and Noble's. For whatever reason my copy of the second edition, More Proficient Motorcyclying, has held up extremely well. It's a good follow up to the first book and really just drills home a lot of what was in the first book. If you really want a great book that really helps with street riding, and may very well prep you for starting track days as well, I would suggest Lee Parks Total Control. I plan on taking his class next year when he comes back to MD. Just have to get me a full riding suit by then and I will be ready.

My copy of Proficient Motorcycling actually hasn't done this so far... but funny you should bring it up shorts, yesterday morning I noticed a page fell out just like yours did in my copy of More Proficient Motorcycling.

Although even if they all fall out, Ill just get a binder and then i can say its a hard cover!

Im thinking about getting Street Stratigies... ive heard its just the same stuff covered in the first two books, but ive also read in I think More Proficient Motorcycling that the book is awesome as a quick reference for the everyday situations. Did something happen on the road on your way home and you wanted to know if what you did was the right action to take? just look it up in street strat.
