Sometimes I go to club evevents that are far away andend after dark and not crazy about riding a long ways home in the dark.

also i live 2 miles up a dirt road and there are riding days ion the winter but my road is always a mess in the winter.

Nice setup, Keith. I have no idea why anyone would feel the need to be so judgmental about something like a trailer - how petty and small.

I have thought that if we decide to take the kids on an extended vacation across the country, we would probably take a trailer for the bikes. I just can't imagine taking all the stuff we would want with four people through all kinds of weather on two bikes. But it sure would be fun to park our main vehicle at a campsite and then spend the day riding around locally with the kids and nothing else on the bikes.

A friend of ours brought his bike on a trailer once for a local rideout - but it was because he also wanted to bring his bike lift along to assist another rider with some maintenance projects. Would you suggest, Mintbread, that maybe he should have harnessed the bike lift onto his shoulders or something like that? There are plenty of times when a trailer makes sense.

You would need a lil bigger trailer for two bikes

my 5 foot wide is just enough room to get off and get beside it to tie it down

I have a trailer like that but its for my sleds. Earlier i was wondering (well I knew) that I could put my bike in it if I ever wanted to. So I have to ask, how would you tie it down? Is it just like in the back of a pickup where you strap it down with straps or is their a better more permanent way? I am a bit hesitent on keeping the suspension loaded for longer rides and wondered if you have a different opinion.

i use a wheel chock to hold front wheel, then 3 tie downs on each side 2 in front and 1 in rear.

Most only use 1 fron and one rear on each side

I put eye bolts in the floor making sure they go through a cross member

Nice ranger. 02 or 03? Anyway, trailer would be a nice thing to have sometimes. Ever try to load the bike into the bed of that ranger? Bikes and 1/4 ton beds just don't get along . Even my XR needs to be at an angle in my ranger. What brand/class hitch you get on there?

I'd hope a Class III receiver with a sway control, not so much for the weight as for speeding semis.

The only thing I see wrong with your rig is that Friggin' Over Rated Disaster on the front of the trailer.
