you use a very small cutting tip and you only heat up the bolt, not the head! I have done it many times before, and it will be funny when he takes the head off and takes it to a machine shop they will do the same thing, cut it out with a cutting torch! Also I can cut steel with a torch it looks like it was cut with a saw, im a wizard with a cutting torch, also im the only person in 4 counties that understands can buss electricial systems on ur bike, its funny when a trainned certified motorcycle mechanic probes a wire on a bike and only reads 5 volts and he says it has a bad battery or a short ha ha ha ha ha ha !!! You guys would be lucky to have a friend like me to fix ur bike right!

I'm pretty good with an oxy/acetylene torch myself although for general use a "gas-axe" is little crude compared to a plasma-cutter...which you wouldn't use on a job like this.
Dain't no way that a cutting-torch should be used to focus heat on a pin point like this. If you want to heat to anneal the stud you'd use the correct heating tip not a cutting torch. You might try using a TIG stinger, that would be more precise.
That's what I might try; to heat the broken thread-extracter/stud mess to anneal the steel (soften it) so that you might be able to drill it out. It would be a tricky job.
I don't question your skill Moto but you should reconsider what tool you'd use...in my humble opinion.

I know this sounds funny but could you put in the bigger nut on that stud, then put bigger looking nuts (ie. thicker) on the other studs? it wont be stock but at least it would look even.
Just a thought.

Oh wow, that must be one of those new heat insulated bolts! Plus I still don't see how a cutting torch would be precise enough for this kind of job.

Wow, stupidity must run unchecked where you live. And why are you throwing a probe on the wire and not on the connector, or back probing the connector...

If I wanted to try and cheat a dealership by pulling the lemon law card... I'd have to go to where you were though since they wouldn't figure out what was going on apparently.
