Nice job on the paint, Tech. Are you going to have another go with a bit of clear coat this time?

Gary - thanks for the tip, too. Since there are limited color choices, can you blend different colors to create new ones with the Verathane?

You are lucky - my entire bike is a "Theft Prevention Device" :oops!:

No reason why you couldn't though you would have to keep accurate records if you hoped to ever duplicate it (in case of a repair) Purchasing several cans to create different color tones could push the price up to where there might be little advantage over simply buying automotive finish. Also You would still find it limited as compared with the versatility of mixing choices for automotive paint. All colors would be "straight" color, no metallics. Then again, if you had access to metallics I don't see why you couldn't introduce them.

I need to check and see if they have available a clear coat as well. That would be great if they do. Surely would add depth to the finish.

I even tried sanding a piece (fine wet paper - 1200 grit) and polishing it to see if that would be an option and it cleaned up the finish and showed great gloss. so that, as in my case with no spray booth, I can paint outside and then sand out dust or other imperfections and polish the finish to produce a show quality job. I should be so fussy on a 25 year old bike I plan to sell -- not. :? But the option is there. I am rather intrigued by this product.
