Beginning rider looking for a beginners bike

Don't know where you live, so...don't know. But full bike license in the UK with bike rental and all tests costs between £500 and £750. At the lower end the bikes aren't maintained as well, and this can cause some distress to learners, I've heard. I went at the higher end and it was an excellent experience.

I would suggest a dual sport bike like the Suzuki DRZ400S, or the DR650, or the Honda 650L, or even better the Kawasaki KLR650, the Kawasaki has the speed and power to keep up with any cruiser bike on the road, plus its easy to ride and handle with heavy duty suspension, cheap to maintain and repair, plus the added fun factor that you can also take it off road. Great beginners bike plus you get a lot of bike for the money.

I tend to agree about a lot og what you said about the KLR, but doesn't it sit pretty high, which may be a detriment to a new rider.....
