Too bad Texas isn't like PA. We get our license after successfully completing the msf.

Congrats! Long may you ride, and welcome to the club!
Remember, the MSF course qualifies you to ride at low speeds in a parking lot. The world is dangerous and exhilarating, in equal measure. Take your time. Work the back streets and back roads for a while before tackling traffic. Helmet, every time! Skin grows back, cerebellum, not so much.

Congrats on passing! Now go get yourself a bike and some gear!
It's been almost a month since I passed the course, and I've ended up going a little faster than I had planned. I thought I'd be in parking lots still at this point but I have rode to work once, and probably am riding to work again today. It's really not as hard as it seems at the MSF. Once you get a little more practice at low speeds you'll be more comfortable. I haven't ventured onto freeways yet, but I will at some point. Just watch out for those people trying not to let you pass them or talking on their phones...
I actually found practicing on less traveled one lane streets was more helpful than the parking lot near me. The lot wasnt really big enough to do much more than figure eights and circles, which was good to get used to the bike, but kinda boring after a while. Just do it at non-peak traffic times.
