Be safe and take it easy for a while.

Can't wait for Saturday when I take my new bike out for it's first ride ... well, okay, my first ride.
It's Yellow, not only is one of my favorite colors, but I figured it's also highly visible too. I paid the guy 2300 for it. Kind of on the higher end of the bikes I was looking at, but it had the lowest milage (1800) and was in the best physical condition. The guy also worked at a Kawasaki dealership as a mech, so I'm thinking he kept the bike in good working order.
This is going to sound really silly, but the thing that's got me really scared right now ... is having to negotiate the curb at the end of my driveway.

First, a big CONGRATS on your bike.

I'm sure you're going to have fun with it. (and don't worry about the color - it'll grow on ya)
The Ninja is a very forgiving first bike and you sound like you've got the right idea for getting out there & testing the waters (practice!) before going all out ....so relax.... The driveway curb... hopefully this was drilled into your head (you took a course right?) Look Where You Want To Go, NOT DOWN...
Keep. Your. Head. Up. and always look ahead to where you want to go.
Good luck...best wishes....enjoy!

Congratulations!!

I love my ninja and am sure you will have a great time on yours. I felt like such a superstar after my first ride down the street on my new (to me) bike. Let us know how theat first ride goes!
Don't worry about that curb, you will do fine just take it easy.
